Andre M. Pereira, age 88, died on Sunday, April 16 at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Elizabeth. Relatives & Friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Friday, March 21 from the August f. Schmidt Memorial FuneralHome,139 Westfield Ave., Elizabeth . Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Elizabeth at 10:00 AM. Interment Hollywood Cemetery, Union. Visiting Thursday 5-8 PM. Andre was born in Santos O Velho, Lisbon, Portugal & moved to Elizabeth where he has lived for most of his life. He was employed as a diesel mechanic for UPS, Edison for many years before retiring. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Elizabeth. Member of the Teamsters Union Local #177 of Edison. Andre is predeceased by his wife, who died in 2006, Maria Colares Pereira & a daughter Anna Paula Pereira. Survived by his 2 sons, Paul Pereira & his wife Ann Marie of Colonia & Carlos Pereira & his wife Linda of PA. A daughter, Maria Zacarias & her husband Joao of Elizabeth. Grandfather of Maria Carvalho & her husband Carlos, Laura Rico & her husband Mario, Joann Marques & her husband Paul, Nicole Santos & her husband Antonio all of Elizabeth. Lauren Pereira & Joseph P. Pereira both of Colonia, Tara Pereira & Tanya Pereira both of Pa. Great Grandfather of Seven.
