Obituary of Mary Moskal
Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Mary (D'Addesa) Moskal, 95, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2023, at her home in Elizabeth, N.J.
Born July 15, 1927, to Guiseppe and Giuseppeina (Ragazzo) D'Addesa of Elizabeth, New Jersey, Mary grew up in the Peterstown section of Elizabeth during the Great Depression and Second World War. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Stanley J. Moskal Sr., her four siblings; a sister, Rose (D'Addesa) Brown, three brothers, Frank, Vito, and Salvatore D'Addesa, and her parents, who were immigrants from Italy.
She was employed at the Singer Sewing Machine Factory in Elizabeth, where she met her husband, Stanley J. Moskal Sr. Following their marriage in 1955, Mary became a homemaker, raising the two children she and Stan had in the Elmora section of Elizabeth. They loved vacationing in the Poconos together, spending the summers in Manasquan Beach with their family, and in their later years, they enjoyed spending time with their two grandchildren. They were lifelong residents of Elizabeth and always found ways to engage with the community.
Mary is survived by her two children; a son, Stanley J. Moskal Jr., and his wife, Carol, of Mountainside, N.J., and a daughter, Judith Linder, and her husband, Robert, of Elizabeth, N.J. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Aiden and Gabriel Moskal-Linder. We will always carry her memory in our hearts.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Genevieves Roman Catholic Church, 200 Monmouth Rd., Elizabeth, N.J.
