Maria Almeida Antunes, 89, of Monroe Twp. Died on Friday at Brookdale Monroe, Monroe Township., NJ. Relatives & Friend are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, Sept. 14, from the August F. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home,139 Westfield Ave., Elizabeth at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Elizabeth at 10:00 AM. Entombment Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Visiting Tuesday 5 – 9 PM. Maria was born in Pescanseco Pampilhosa, Portugal & came to this country in 1969 settled in Elizabeth then Linen before moving to Monroe Twp., many years ago. She was employed as Seamstress for Union County Area for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima RC church, Elizabeth. She is predeceased by her husband Ambrosio P. Antunes. Maria is survived by 3 sons Amilcar Antunes & his wife Lurdes, Rui Antunes & his wife Maria & Orlando Antunes & his wife Rosa all of Monroe Twp. 2 Sisters Isaura Santos & her husband Antonio & Esmenia Martins. Grandmother of Cynthia, Michelle, Katelyn, Tiphanie Slack & her husband Christopher, Stephanie, Jason & Michael Antunes.
