Obituary of Manuel Alberto Almeida

Manuel Alberto Almeida of Union, New Jersey, passed away, surrounded by his family, on September 5, 2022. Manuel was born on December 28, 1953 to Serafina Monte Almeida and Manuel Almeida in Ponta Delgada, Acores, Portugal. He immigrated to the United States in August 1977 in hopes of finding a future home for his soon to be wife and future children. He married in December 1977 to the love of his life and together they came to the USA where he created a beautiful life for his family. Always a hardworking man, he spent 40 years practicing his craft working for Jocama Construction, Old Bridge, New Jersey. He was a parishioner at Our Lady of Fatima Church. He is survived by his wife, Estela Almeida, his 2 daughters Marcia Almeida (married to David Pinho) and Monica Johnson (married to Scott Johnson ), and his 3 grandchildren, Brianna, Andrew and Lyanna. His is also survived by his sister, Bernadette Almeida (married to Domingos Almeida), and many nephews and nieces. Manuel is predeceased by his father Manuel. Manuel was a hardworking man and would do anything and everything for his family In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Colon Cancer Foundation or Our Lady of Fatima Church.
