Mario Gomes Dias Teques, 87, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Ovar, Portugal and came to this country settling in Elizabeth before moving to Princeton. Mario was a chef for United Airlines for 30 years and retired in 1994. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Elizabeth. Member of the Lions Club, Portuguese Social Club, Portuguese American Citizens Club, Associacao Filantropica Ovarense all of Elizabeth and Portuguese Continental Union.
Mario is survived by his wife of 50 years Maria Helena Pinho Teques, his son Manuel Teques of Toms River, daughter, Cristina Teques and her husband Brian Mazzella of Ridgewood. Grandfather of Stephen, Carlos, Ethan, Mia & Nicole.
