Donald A. Schiessl, 86, of Elizabeth died on Wednesday at his home. Relatives & Friends are kindly invited to attend visiting on Wednesday, 12/22/21, 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, service to follow at August F. Schmidt Funeral Home, 139 Westfield Ave., Elizabeth. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. Donald was born in Elizabeth & a lifelong resident. Graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School class of 1953. Graduate of Lehigh University Class of 1957. Worked for GE Capital Corporation for 26 years, manager of Central & North Jersey Operations retiring many years ago. Member of the Third-Westminster Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth for over 70 years. Served as a Deacon, Trustees, & Elder, served as clerk of session over 23 years. He is predeceased by his parents Peter J. Schiessl & Clara Schendorf Schiessl& A brother Peter J. Schiessl. He is survived by his niece, Vivian Steuterman & her husband Tom of Virginia & a great nephew Gregory Steuterman & his wife Katie & a great niece Katharine Steuterman. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Music for Children Inc, 780 Salem Ave, Elizabeth NJ 07208 would be appreciated.
