Obituary of Sergio A. Alves

Sergio A,. Alves, 84, of Linden died on Wednesday at Center for Hope Hospice, Elizabeth. Relatives & Friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, November 20 from the August f. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home, 139 Westfield Ave., Elizabeth at 8:15 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Elizabeth at 9:00 AM. Sergio was born in Caldas Da Rainha, Portugal came to this country settling in Linden in 1973. He was employed as a Machine Operator for Prince Donuts, Linden for many years before retiring in 1999. He was also a part time worker at Pathmark, Linden. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church & the Portuguese Instructive Social Club both of Elizabeth. He is predeceased by his wife Maria Pires Alves who died in 2007. Survived by his daughter, Paula A. Alves & a son Henry M. Alves both of Linden.
