Ambrosio P. Antunes,84, of Monroe twp., died on Monday at The Gardens at Monroe, Monroe Township., NJ. Relatives & Friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Friday, Sept. 3, from the August F. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home, 139 Westfield Ave., Elizabeth at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Elizabeth at 10:00 AM. Entombment Hollywood Cemetery. Visiting Thursday 5-9 PM. Ambrosio was born in Violeiro, Castelo Branco, Portugal & came to this country in 1969 settled in Elizabeth then Linden before moving to Monroe Twp., many years ago. He was employed as a forklift operator for American Can Co., Edison for many years before retiring in 1991. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Elizabeth. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maria Amelia Almeida Antunes. 3 sons, Amilcar Antunes & his wife Lurdes, Rui Antunes & his wife Maria & Orlando Antunes & his wife Rosa all of Monroe Twp. 2 brothers, Aires Antunes of Elizabeth & Jaime Antunes of France. 2 sisters, Alzira de Jesus & Isilda Josefa Antunes both of France. Grandfather of Cynthia, Michelle, Katelyn, Tiphanie, Stephanie, Jason & Michael Antunes.
