Relatives & Friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, June 16 from the August F. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home, 139 Westfield Ave., Elizabeth at 8:15 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Elizabeth at 9:00 AM. Interment St. Gertrude Cemetery. Visiting Tuesday, 6/15/2021 from 4-8 PM. Maria was born in Loule, Portugal, then lived in Brazil & came to this country in 1975 settling in Elizabeth. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Elizabeth. She is predeceased by her husband Manuel T. Valerio & a son, Washington M. Valerio. Maria is survived by 2 sons, Alexandre M. Valerio and his wife Maria Emilia of Union & Sergio M. Valerio and his wife Ann Marie of Wall. 2 Daughters, Maria de Fatima Pereira of Elizabeth & Maria de Deus Castro of Brazil. Grandmother of Eleven.
