Orlando Fredy Mena, 66 of Roselle died on Tuesday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. A service at the Chapel in Rosehill Crematory, Linden, Monday, April 5 at 2:00 PM.
He was born in Rimac Lima, Peru. Son of Victor Antonio Mena Clause. Orlando came to this country in 1986 living in the Bronx then moving to Roselle 18 years ago. He was a foreman for the Cement & Concrete worker's Union 18A in Flushing, NY for over 25 years before retiring in 2017.
Orlando loved to spend time with his family. He could always make everyone smile with his sense of humor. You could often find him with a beer in his hand and listening to music. He loved barbecuing and made an amazing ceviche most Saturday’s for family and friends. Orlando was very compassionate and help anyone in need. He was always looking for a project as he could build and create anything.
He will be remembered as an amazing father with an extraordinary personality, huge heart & adoration of his family.
Surviving by his wife Corina Luisa Ravina Mena. His mother, Carmen Olga Nunez Castro. One Daughter, Antuanette L. Mena. Three Brothers, Feddy Orlando Mena, Victor Antonio & Eddy Augusto. Two Sisters, Elena Soledad Mena & Jenny Rocio Mena. One Granddaughter, Destiny A. Mena Rosero.
