Obituary of Mario A. Rodrigues

Mario Aguiar Rodrigues, 83 years old died in Monroe NJ on March 15, 2021. Born in Batalha Portugal, Mario migrated to the USA in 1969 and settled in Elizabeth NJ with his wife Maria do Ceu and son Paul until 2019, when he moved to Monroe to be closer to his son. Mario's profession was a Tailor. He worked at Roots in Red Bank NJ, for 17 years followed by Polo, Nordstrom and ended his career at Joseph A Banks in Summit NJ where he retired from at the age of 72. Mario was well known in the Portuguese Community where he volunteered countless hours, including Treasurer of Boys Scout Troop 101 and School Director of Escola Amadeu Correia. After retirement Mario could be found spending many afternoons besides his friends at the Portuguese Instructive Social Club in Elizabeth NJ and enjoyed watching soccer games. Mario is survived by his wife, Maria Ceu Rodrigues, son Paul Rodrigues and wife Dawn of Jamesburg, NJ, a sister Maria Rina of Canada, brother Rogerio Rodrigues of Linden NJ, Fernando Rodrigues, Antonio Rodrigues, Joao Rodrigues and sister Dimentina Valinha all residing in Portugal. He will be missed and loved forever.
