Obituary of Robert W. Halleck

Robert W. Halleck, 77, of Clark, died on Monday at Robert wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic a private funeral was held from August F. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home, Elizabeth. Entombment, St. Gertrude Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Contributions in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
Robert was born in Elizabeth, moved to Clark 58 years ago. He was employed as an executive for the Elizabethtown Gas Co., Elizabeth for 36 years before retiring in 1999. He was a communicant & usher at St. John the Apostle RC Church, Linden.
He was inducted into All American Basketball & Baseball team and received a double scholarship to Iona College, New Rochelle for the two sports. Inducted in Athletic Hall of Fame of Linden, Elizabeth, Union. A member of St. Mary High School Board of Directors, Elizabeth Varsity Basketball Coach & Athletic Director

Robert is survived by his wife of 55 years Norine Schulz Halleck. 2 Sons, Kenneth Halleck & his wife Traci & Craig Halleck. A daughter Karen Nobile & son -in-law Liam Nobile. A Brother George T. Halleck & his wife Judith. A sister, Patricia
McClelland . Brother-in-law of Karolyn Clark & her husband James.
7 Grandchildren, Bryce, Mallory, Griffin, Emma, Ryan, Regan & Rachel. 1 Great Granddaughter, Ava. Also survived by many nieces & nephews.
