Obituary of Earl Thomas Rinaman
Earl Thomas Rinaman III , known by his friends as Tommy or Tom, 55, passed away on January 7th in Elizabeth, NJ. Visitation will be held at the August F. Schmidt Funeral Home on Sunday, January 26th from 1 pm to 3 pm. Tommy was born in Helsinki, Finland to Earl Thomas Rinaman Jr. and Seija Pulkinen Rinaman on September 2nd, 1964. His family moved to the US in 1968, first to California, and finally settling in New Jersey. He grew up in Watchung, NJ and graduated from Watchung Hills Regional High School in 1982, where he was an athlete, playing many sports, including football and golf . He went on to earn his Bachelors Degree from the University of Miami, Florida. After graduation, he worked in sales and marketing for Colgate-Palmolive in New Jersey, New York and Michigan. Tommy had an enormous love of golf, enjoyed both college and professional football, and was a loyal JETS fan. He was most proud of his son, Aidan. Tom is survived by his son, Aidan Thomas Rinaman of Plymouth, MI and his sister Theresa A. Hanada of Indigo, CA, extended family, and many friends in New Jersey and Michigan. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Thomas Rinaman Jr. and his mother Seija Pulkinen Rinaman, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Jimmy Straine Memorial Scholarship at Watchung Hills Regional High School.
